F5 Maintenance Dec 21, 2010

Please review the following information for scheduled maintenance details:

Customer Impact:

On Tuesday, 12/21, GoGrid engineers will be performing the second and final step to upgrade the hardware and OS of our GoGrid load balancer cluster.  This maintenance impacts GoGrid customers with active F5 load balancers only.


Maintenance Details:

The GoGrid Network team is performing a hardware and OS upgrade on our GoGrid load balancer cluster.  Customer with active F5 VIPs may lose connectivity between the their F5 VIP and cloud servers up to two times during the maintenance window for two minute each time.  In addition, throughout the entire time of the maintenance period, GoGrid F5 adds, edits, or deletes submitted via the GoGrid portal or API will not be processed.

GoGrid Infrastructure Update -- Completed

Maintenance Window:
Tuesday, December 14, 19:00 - 24:00 PDT
(Tuesday, December 15, 02:00 - 07:00 GMT)

Customer Impact:
GoGrid customer portal and API will be unavailable.

Maintenance Details:

The GoGrid " my.gogrid.com" customer portal and API will be unavailable for up to 5 hours while we upgrade our infrastructure. There will be no impact to existing GoGrid cloud servers, load balancers or cloud storage during this time.

GoGrid Network Maintenance (Load Balancer Upgrade)

Customer Impact:
Customers in US-West-1 may experience session state loss while the F5’s fail over several times during the upgrade process.

Maintenance Details:
The GoGrid Network team is performing a hardware and OS upgrade on our GoGrid load balancer cluster. Customers with active F5 VIPs may lose connectivity between the F5 VIP and cloud servers up to two times during the maintenance window for two minutes each time. GoGrid Portal and API Issues Reported -- Resolved

Some customers may experience an issue with accessing the portal and IP assignment once in the GoGrid portal. Our Systems team is currently investigating the problem. We will update the status blog as soon as more information is available.

Update: 16:38 PT – Our Systems Team reports the portal and API will be down until at least 18:00 PT for Emergency Maintenance in order to correct the issue.

Update: 18:00 PT - The GoGrid Portal and API issue has been resolved.
