GoGrid - Maintenance Infrastructure Update - Rescheduled

Customer Impact:
The GoGrid customer portal (my.gogrid.com ) and API will be unavailable for up to 5 hours while we upgrade our infrastructure. There will be no impact to existing GoGrid cloud servers, dedicated servers, firewalls, load balancers or Cloud Storage during this time. Notice only for US-East-1 customers. Customers will experience a 15-30 second interruption or degradation in public networking service during this maintenance window. CloudLink customers will experience two 5-15 second interruptions in the connection between datacenters.

The GoGrid Networking Team is performing an upgrade to the US-East-1 network infrastructure. Services that require private or public routing will experience a brief interruption. Server to Server communication over the private network will not be impacted.

GoGrid – Network Issue Reported

Some customers have reported public networking issues in our US-East1 data center. Our Networking team is currently investigating. Please log a case to be notified or check here for further updates.

U.S. East - DHCP Lease Issue - Resolved

Some users have reported an issue with their servers being Inaccessible. Our Engineering team has determined the problem to be an issue with DHCP leases and is currently investigating. Please log a case to be notified or check here for further updates.

Update: Our Engineering Team reports the issue with DHCP service has been resolved as of 11:50AM PST. Please contact the GoGrid Support Center if you are still experiencing any server access issues as you may need your DHCP lease manually renewed.

Maintenance Details:

GoGrid will be performing a scheduled infrared scanning of all the US-West-1 data center power equipment and electrical panels on February 28 and 29, 2012. During the maintenance, our vendor will carefully remove panels from each piece of equipment, the internal parts will be infrared scanned to locate any unusual hot spots, and then the vendor will carefully re-install the panel.

GoGrid – Windows Add jobs - Resolved

Some customers have reported issues with adding new virtual servers using a Windows image to their account. Our Engineering team is currently investigating the root cause. Our status page will be updated as more information is available.

Update1: This issue is being urgently addressed by our Engineering team. We expect resolution within the next two hours (6pm PST). We will update this blog post when the issue is resolved.

Update2: As of 5:00pm PST, this issue has been reported resolved by our engineering team. Please contact the GoGrid Support center if you experience any other issues.

Firewall Issue - Resolved

Some users have reported an issue with accessing servers behind their firewall in our U.S. West data center. Our Engineering team is currently investigating. Please log a case to be notified or check here for further updates.

Update: @ 11:25 AM PST Feb 7 - Our Network Engineering team reports the issue has reoccurred and is researching the problem.

Update: @ 1:00 PM PST Feb 7 - Network Engineers have marked the device as stable and are working with our vendors for more information and to ensure this does not happen again.

Update: @ 01:36 AM PST Feb 8 - The issue has reoccurred and out Network Engineering team is investigating.

Update: @ 06:42 AM PST Feb 8 - The Network Engineering team reports that the issue has been resolved; the firewall is now stable.

Update: @ 1:21 PM PST Feb 8 - We are again seeing this issue and we are working on a resolution.
